Deputy Commissioner Mansa Mrs Apneet Riyait and SDMs of the district today made donations for the 3D (3 dustbins) project being run in the district to manage garbage as well as create employment opportunities out of it.Making donation of Rs 15000, Deputy Commissioner Mrs Apneet Riyait was conferred with membership certificate by the secretary of 3D Society Jaswinder Singh. Mrs Riyait said that besides her the Sub Divisional Magistrates too have made donations thereby funding the project. It is pertinent to mention here that two recycle waste centers are already being run in district one being at Old Chappar site and another at Chakerian road ,while third one is coming up near Mansa Tehsil.With the help of manual segregrators, the waste collected is sorted out into three categories. One is biodegradable including leaves, paper etc. Other one is left over eatables that are taken to gaushala for the stray cattle and the third category is that of non biodegradable waste such as plastic etc which is sold away to scrap dealers. SDM Mansa Mr Abhijeet Kaplish has donated Rs 15000, SDM Budhlada Mr Aaditya Dachalwal has donated Rs 10000, SDM Sardulgarh Mr Latif Ahmed had donated Rs 15000, technical advisor Mr Aditya Madaan has donated Rs 20000 and secretary of 3D Society Mr Jaswinder Singh has donated Rs 15000. People were also appealed to make donations for the project
