Former deputy speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Bir Devinder Singh Friday field his nomination papers as a candiate of Shiromani Akali Dal (Taksali) from Anandpur Sahib Lok Sabha constituency, in the presence of Ranjit Singh Brahmpura, president of SAD (Taksali) and MP Khadoor sahib besides general secretary Sewa Singh Sekhwan, vice president Ujagar singh Badali and general secretary Manmohan Singh Sathiala. Before filing his nomination papers, SAD (Taksali) leaders also visited Gurdwara Sri Aamb Sahib in Mohali two seek the blessing of almighty God. Bir Devinder Singh also led a huge road show of his supporters to showcase his strength.“We shall win the election from this parliament constituency at every cost as we are getting huge public support here. Sitting MP Prem Singh Chandumajra, who is a SAD candidate has done nothing at all to sooth the sufferings of the people though he had the government of  his alliance in power both in the state and at the centre,” said Bir Devinder Singh, releasing a press statement after filing his nomination.Taking a dig at Badal and Captain Family, Ranjit Singh Brahmpura said,” Both Badals and Captain Amarinder Singh are playing a friendly match only to fool the electorate. Captain Amarinder Singh has fielded weak candidates both from Bathinda and Ferozepur constituencies from where Harsimrat kaur Badal and party president Sukhbir Badal are contesting elections respectively. To marginalize Captain’s  rivals in  congress party, SAD-BJP alliance has brought down a parachute candidate, Bollywood actor Sunny Deol in Gurdaspur, who has no connection with the people of the constituency,” Brahmpura alleged.“But people of the state are now well aware about the tacit understanding of both the Badal and Royal family to win the elections.

Now captain Amarinder Singh` is addressing public rallies, but his government has failed to generate employment as promised Ghar Ghar Naukri, brake the spinal cord of drug supply cartel, uplifting the backwards and saving farmers from committing suicides. His mission 13 will be deflated by the people,” Brahmpura alleged.“SAD has failed on all the fronts. The party rather damaged the Sikh institutions and looted the state. SAD has been a part of BJP which uprooted the business of lakhs of the small and marginalized shopkeepers abruptly  declaring demonetization without a thought. It has also rendered the lakhs of small dairy farmers in Punjab jobless because of lynching of the cow traders. Now there is no movement of cow trade which used to spread across the country due to the very good breed of cows in Punjab. It has further  led to the unemployment and  unemployed youth to  drug addiction,” Brahmpura lambasted the SAD-BJP alliance.“Badals failed to raise this genuine concern of the Punjabi farmers,” he said.“During the last parliamentary elections, Badal Sahab assured the people of state that if Modi government wins, Punjab would get truck loads of money, where is that money gone? Asked Brahmpura adding that both congress and SAD-BJP alliance do the step motherly behaviors to the state,” Brahmpura said in the press statement issued here today from party head office. He appealed the people of Punjab to elect candidates on the merit instead of casting their votes to big political parties.Besides others, general secretary Karnail Singh peer Mohammad, youth president Harsukinder Singh alias Bubby Badal, Damanjeet Singh OSD to Brahmpura, Adv Anantbir Singh, secretary Gagan Bains, Gursev Singh Harpalpur, Dr. Jasmer Singh,  Sahib Singh Badali, Mandeep Singh Khiarabad, Gurbachan Singh Premgarh, Gurpal Singh Himmatpura, Malvinder Singh, Former IG Paramjit Singh, Zaberjung Singh and Bobby Kang were present.
