Senior Congress leader and former Deputy Speaker of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Bir Devinder Singh today urged Shri Akal Takhat Sahib to summon Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia for his blasphemous action of distorting the Shabad of the Tenth Master, Guru Gobind Singh, De ha Shiva Varr Mohe Aise Shubh karmann te mein na daru.In a statement issued here today, Bir Devinder revealed that Bikram Majithia during a function had recited Guru Gobind Singh’s Shabad and distorted it by using Arun Jaitley’s name in it. He said, instead of saying “nischay karr apni jeet karu” at the end, Bikram Majithia said, “nischay kar Arun Jailtey ki jeet karu”.“Has Jaitley become a God for Majithia?” he asked, while condemning Majithia for this extremely degrading act of sycophancy. He hoped that the Akal Takhat jathedar will summon Majithia and make him atone for his grave sin that has hurt the sentiments of millions and millions of people across the globe.
