Governor Acharya Devvrat addressing a function organised by Deenbandhu Foundation to pay tributes to the martyrs of Pulwama terror attack in J and K  at Kaithal in Haryana . Governor Acharya Devvrat has laid emphasis on adopting natural farming on large scale as pollution in water, air and food was becoming a grave problem due to excessive use of the chemicals.The Governor was addressing a function organised by Deenbandhu Foundation to pay tributes to the martyrs of Pulwama terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir on 14 February 2019. He paid his tributes to martyrs and said that the entire nation was united to give a befitting reply to those forces which were trying to threat the unity and integrity of India.He said as per the research of the scientists, the water level was decreasing four feet every year in Punjab and Haryana and it was the right time to think about future generations who would have only barren lands and no water after few years if the things continued like this. The only solution he said was to shift towards natural farming which would rejuvenate ground water level and would also give us poison-free products.Acharya Devvrat said that Himachal Pradesh government has already considered his concept of natural farming where training was being provided free of cost to them. 

More than three thousand farmers have adopted this method of farming in first year and a target has been fixed to associate 50 thousand farmers during this year. He added that more than 40 lakh farmers in various states have shifted towards natural farming.He urged the youth to abstain from drugs and use their energy for constructive purpose. He said youth were asset of the nation and plays a vital role in development and progress of the country but it was a matter of great concern that they were falling prey to the drug abuse.Acharya Devvrat said that the people would have to fight collectively for various social evils for building a strong, vibrant and peaceful society. He said that the teachers and parents have a great role to play here to inculcate moral values and sense of responsibility in children from the very beginning so that they could be saved from this social abuse.MLA Jasbir Deshwal from Safidon Assembly constituency and President of Deenbandhu Foundation Surender Dhull were also present on this occasion.Earlier, the Governor presided over another function on de-addiction and natural farming in the premises of Minerva Public School, Kailram. Speaking on this occasion, he urged the people to change their mindset and give respect and equal opportunities to their daughters for better education so that they could excel in their lives and contribute in the progress and development of the nation. He added that today girls were performing better than boys in all spheres and making the country feel proud.
