Governor Acharya Devvrat today flagged-off a vehicle of warm clothes and blankets to District Red Cross, Shimla from Raj Bhawan to be distributed to the labour colonies and the poor people through Shimla district administration.The Governor directed the district authorities to ensure that clothes are delivered to the needy people promptly. This consignment of garments has been sent by various volunteer organizations through the famous social worker and President of Haryana Youth Peace Forces Chaudhary Sampurn Singh.Deputy Commissioner, Shimla Amit Kashayap and other officers of district administration were also present on the occasion.Earlier, the Governor also sent consignment of warm clothes and blankets to the Kullu Red Cross branch for the poor and needy people.
