Himanshu Aggarwal launches NABARD Potential linked plan of Rs. 13120 Crore for Amritsar District

Additional Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Aggarwal  launched Potential Linked Credit Plan (PLP) document prepared by NABARD for total outlay Rs. 13120 Crore for Amritsar district. The PLP was launched at District Consultative Committee at Amritsar. This PLP document covers the potential credit areas under the Priority sector. The PLP outlay has been increased by approx. 4.2% from last year potential of Rs. 12582 crore.NABARD District Development Manager Shri Jaskirat Singh informed that as per recent RBI guidelines, agriculture credit should increase under investment credit so that capital formation in agriculture sector can take place. Taking into account the above factors, the total projections of the PLP for the year 2019-20 have been estimated at Rs. 13120 crore inclusive of Rs. 4820 crore for crop loan, Rs. 665 crore for Team Loan for agriculture allied, Rs. 521 crore for agriculture infrastructure, Rs. 608 crore for agriculture ancillary activities, Rs. 3334 crore for Micro, small and Medium Enterprises, Rs. 1003 crore for Export Credit, Rs. 522 Crore for Education, Rs. 1464 Crore for Housing, Rs. 22Crore for Renewable Energy, Rs. 78Crore for others (SHG/JLG/Small Loans) and Rs. 77 Crore for Social Infrastructure indicating a growth of 4.27% over PLP 2018-19 projections.RBI LDO Shri Sanjeev Kain, LDM Shri DK Uparwal and DCOs of all banks were present at this launch.
