Scores of students of 12th class on Friday accused authorities for starting examination 15 minutes late in Kralpora area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district. The students alleged that the staff on duty arrived at around 2:45 pm after which they started issuing question papers and answer sheets. The timing of the examination is 2 pm upto 5 pm. The students of Govt Higher Secondary School Kralpora said that at centre number 5103, the staff also misbehaved with them and forcibly snatched the answer sheets at 5 pm from them. This created the uproar in the centre.“If the staff on duty started examination 15 to 20 minutes late, why didn’t they compensate the time later,” the angry students said and sought the intervention of BOSE in this regard. The students of Rehmat-i-Alam School Kupwara appearing for exams at Meeliyal High School also complained of delay in issuing question papers.“The paper was given late by an hour,” the students said. They also complained that despite cold conditions there were no heating arrangements in the exam centres.“We couldn’t even see the question paper properly as there was no light and demanded change in examination timing".Similarly, the students in Pulwama and Shopian districts of south Kashmir also accused authorities for not making the heating and lighting arrangements in the examination centres.Reports said that at many places in Valley, the students wrote their paper under candle light as there were no arrangements of lighting  in the examination centres.
