Haryana Lions will take on California Eagles in the finalsof Global Kabaddi League at International Hockey Stadium at 6-00 PM on 3rd November. Haryana Lions storms info finals by beating Singh Warriors Punjab by 60-46 in the first semi finals at International Hockey Stadium here this evening. In the second semi finals –California Eagles beat Maple leaf Canada by 57-53 to enter finals. This league has been organized under the Punjab Government’s Mission Tandrust Punjab. Today two semi finals have been played.Renowned Punjab Singer Amrit Mann entertain spectators with their songs at 4-30 Cabinet Ministers Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi, Balbir Singh Sidhu and Ex MLA Barnala Kewal Singh Dhillon will grace the occasion. The winners will get Rs One Crore and Trophy where as Runners up will get Rs 75 Lakhs and Third place team will get Rs 50 Lakhs.In the first semi finals Haryana Lions boys dominated the proceedings. From the start of the match they gave not any chance to Singh Warriors Punjab. 

In the first quarter Haryana Lions was leading by 17-8. At half time Haryana Lions was leading by 31-21. Haryana’s Captain Vinay Khatri and Ravi Deora scored 14 points each where their Stopper Billa Barwara scored 5 points. For Singh’s Rupinder pindu scored 15 points. At the end of full time Haryana Lions won the match by 60-46.In second semi finals tough battle seen between Raider and Stoppers. At the end of first quarter California Eagles were leading by 14-13 against Maple Leaf Canada. At half time score was 28-26 in favour of Maple Leaf Canada. In third quarter California Eagles bounce back, at the end of this quarter they were leading by 43-39. At the end of full time California Eagles beat Maple Leaf Canada by 57-53. For winners Navjot Shankar scored 20 points from his raids.Cabinet Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu and Cabinet Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Guest of honour. They said that this initiative will help in the upliftment of the sports in the state.
