Chief Minister inaugurates Kullu police station building

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today inaugurated the new police station building at Kullu constructed at a cost of about five crore rupees.The Chief Minister said this police station would be equipped with the latest technologies besides facilities like parking, conference room and adequate space for staff and waiting room.He also laid the foundation stone of the Tehsil office and Rajasv Sadan to be constructed with an expenditure of Rs. 2.79 crores.The Chief Minister said that with construction of new building of Tehsil office at the district headquarters, a long pending demand of the people of area would be fulfilled.This building would be dedicated to the people next year around Dussehra festival.He said that after construction of this building, adequate space would be available to keep the revenue record available since 1911-12.The accommodation would also be provided on temporary basis to facilitate the officials of revenue department.Jai Ram Thakur said that the urgent need for the construction of Rajasv Sadan in Kullu district was being felt since long time and it would have facility to accommodate the officers and employees of Revenue department coming from other parts of the district headquarters.Forest Minister Govind Singh Thakur, MLAs Kishori Lal Sagar, Surendra Shourie and Sunder Singh Thakur, Deputy Commissioner Yunus, SP Shalini Agnihotri, and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
