The state government would provide appropriate land to construct Mandyal House at Solan to organise various functions and events.This was stated by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while presiding over the function of Mandyal Sabha held at Solan today.The Chief Minister said that the Sabha was also rendering a great service by keeping alive the culture and tradition of Mandi away from the district. In the present era of information technology, the world has changed into a global village but still organising such events would go a long way in strengthening the emotional bound between the people of the particular region or area.Jai Ram Thakur said that the government from day one was working for the welfare and uniform development of every area and region of the state. He said that although Himachali cap was the sign of our Pahari culture and pride, but still some vested interests tried to give political colour to Himachali cap. He said that he was against all this and happily wear cap of any colour.The Chief Minister said that the state government would consider the demand of the Sabha to start a night bus service from Solan to Dharamshala via Sarkaghat and Mandi.

The Chief Minister announced Rs. 51,000 from his discretionary fund for the children who presented a colourful cultural programme on the occasion.Member of Parliament Virender Kashyap said that hundreds of families of Mandi district were residing in Solan and contributing immensely towards the society. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur was given the responsibility to lead the state by the central BJP leadership, due to his clean image, honesty and hardworking nature. He announced Rs. 5 lakh for the construction of proposed Mandyal Bhawan.President Mandyal Sabha Solan Nirala welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries present on the occasion. He also detailed various activities being undertaken by the Sabha at Solan.Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. Rajiv Saizal, MLA Col. Dr. Dhani Ram Shandil, Deputy Commissioner Solan Vinod Kumar, SP Solan Madhusudan, Vice President Mandyal Sabha Solan L.C. Gupta, Chairperson State Women Commission Dr. Daisy Thakur, Vice Chairman Khadi Board Purshottam Guleria, Former MLAs K.L Thakur and Vinod Chandel were also present on the occasion.
