The MLAa and MPs of Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) Punjab today sat on dharna and hunger strike near the official residence of Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh in protest against sacrilege of holy scriptures and immediate arrest of accused of Behbal Kalan police firing on peaceful Sikhs.The Chandigarh police allowed only four AAP leaders to sit on dharna even though all MLAs and MPs had reached there to lodge their protest and shake the conscience of Chief Minister. The police stopped AAP leaders citing reason of security zone and imposition of prohibitory orders the area.Harpal Singh Cheema, Aman Arora, Baljinder Kaur(All MLAs) and Sadhu Singh MP were allowed to reach the residence of CM where they sat on ground.Later Principal Budh Ram replaced Sadhu Singh. Sarabjit Kaur Manuke, Kultar Singh Sandhwan, Meet Hayer and Amarjit Singh Sandoa also remained present.The AAP leaders in the morning went to Gurdwara Nadha Sahib where they paid obeisance and prayed for punishment to accused of sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib and awake the dead conscience of Capt Amarinder Singh.

Harpal Singh Cheema leader of opposition and Aman Arora Vive President told media that AAP was continuously protesting against sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib and other holy scriptures for the last three years and now they will join the protest at Bargari on October 7. They said that they had held symbolic hunger strike here to force Capt Amarinder Singh to take action against the guilty.AAP leaders stated that Capt Amarinder Singh and Parkash Singh Badal are hand in glove and Capt Amarinder Singh is protecting the Badals. He said that Chief Minister had failed to take action against guilty as per recommendations of Justice Ranjit Singh Commission. Cheema said that in Sangrur where court proceedings were going on in the case of sacrilege of holy Quran Sharif, the Capt Amarinder Singh government had taken stand which is opposite of Justice Ranjit Singh Commission report.Cheem said that Capt Amarinder Singh and Badals have started game of rallies against each other to divert attention of people from Behbal Kalan firing and Justice Ranjit Singh Commission. Sandeep Brar OSD to CM came to accept memorandum.
