The four days exhilarating event of CBSE Cluster XVI-XVII commenced on Sept 27, 2018 culminated in valedictory function on Sept 30, 2018 with great zeal and zest. 400 participants from 40 Schools and 13 Districts participated in it. Bhavan’s Chairman Sh. Avinash Mohindru announced the opening of the meet and welcomed the guests. Then mayor of the city Sardar Karamjeet Singh Rintoo graced the event with his benign presence and inaugurated the event. He was given warm welcome by the management. Event observer Ms. Amritpal Kaur, Chief Referee, S. Paramjeet Singh and assistant Chief Referee Sh. Ashok Kumar took the onus of the event and did their duties with great enthusiasm and complete perfection. Second day, Sept 28, 2018 was really an encouraging day for the players as CBSE Deputy Secretary Sh. Vijay Singh Yadav graced the event as the Chief Guest and motivated the players. Principal Shree Guru Harkrishan Public School Sardar Dharamveer Singh and Principal Shree Ram Ashram Public School, Ms. Vinodita were also the distinguished guests of the occasion.

The valedictory function began with the invocation of Almighty by the dignified Chief Guest. Sh O P Soni Cabinet Minister Education and Environment Punjab and the guests of honour Ms. Navjeet Kaur Dhillon (Winner Common Wealth) and Young Leader Mr. Vikas Soni along with the members of management on Sept 30, 2018.Ms. Navjeet kaur Dhillon insisted on importance of games and suggested students to set their targets with positive attitude. Chairman Sh. Avinash Mohindru welcomed all and admired the disciplined behavior of students. He also gave appreciation to the work of young leader Mr. Vikas Soni.  Sh. O P Soni appreciated the management and working of institution. He insisted that the balance should be maintained between the games and academics. He guided students that hardwork is a key to success so they should do hardwork. He also explained a key to open the knots of all fields by opting discipline, hardwork and by keeping positive attitude. Then the prizes were given by the Guests to the following winners:

CBSE Cluster XVI under 14, under 17 and under 19 boys team: Bhavan’s SL Public School, Amritsar, Apeejay School, Jalandhar and Bhavan’s SL Public School, Amritsar bagged first prize.

CBSE Cluster XVI under 14, under 17 and Under 19 girls team: DAV Public School, Amritsar, Gobindgarh Public School, Mandi Gobindgarh, Fatehgarh Sahib and Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Amritsar bagged first prizes.

CBSE Cluster XVI under 14boys Individual: Rajvir (cambridge Co-Ed Jalandhar, Sambhav (Bhavan’s SL Public School, Amritsar), Rakshan Arora (DPS Jammu) and Aryan Sharma (BCM Arya Model Ludhiana) bagged first, second and third prizes. In Under 17 boys Individual: Saksham Verma (Joda Mal Jammu), Kannan Goel (Apeejay School, Jalandhar), Rakshit Mohla (DAV Public School, Amritsar) and Vasu Sareen (Bhavan’s SL Public School, Amritsar) bagged first, second and third prizes. In under 19 boys: Anand Chopra (Bhavan’s SL Public School, Amritsar), Suryansh Goel (Cambridge Co-ed), Nipun Arora (MGN Adarsh Nagar Jalandhar) and Anmol Madaan (DAV International) bagged First, Second and third prizes.

CBSE Cluster XVI under 14 girls Individual: Ekta Sareen (DAV Public Amritsar), Gurpreet Kaur (Ashok Vatika, Amritsar), Iknoor Kaur (DPS Jammu) and Anshika (Cambridge Co-ed Jalandhar) bagged first, second and third prizes. In under 17 Girls Individual: Khushi Sharma (GPS Ftg), Kayna (Bhavan’s Amritsar), Ananta Bhat (GD Goenka Jammu) and Deepali (Cambridge International School, Jalandhar) bagged first, second and third prizes. In Under 19 girls: Parneet (Sri Guru Harkrishan Amritsar), Mehakjot (Green land Sec 32), Saniya Anand (DPS Jammu) and Ishita (DAV Public Amritsar) bagged first, second and third positions.

CBSE Cluster XVII under 14, under 17 and under 19 boys team: DAV Public school, Patiala, DAV Public School, Patiala and Cambridge High School, Sangrur bagged first positions.

CBSE Cluster XVII under 14, under 17 and under 19 girls team: Delhi Public School, Sangrur, Siksha Bharti Niketan, kaithal and Guru Teg Bahadur Public School Sangrur bagged first positions.

CBSE Cluster XVII under 14 boys Individual: Vanad Kumar (DAV Public School Patiala), Jaskaran Singh (Cambridge High School Dhuri Sangrur), Vishwas Badaan (Shiksha Bharti, Kaithal) and Krish Gaba (St. Joseph Haryana)  bagged first, second and third positions.   Under 17 boys Individual: Chitwan (DAV Public School Patiala), Sahil (Cambridge High School Dhuri Sangrur), Rajat Nain (Shiksha Bharti, kaithal) and Pratham Mantra (St. Marry Patiala) bagged first, second and third positions.  Under 19 boys Individual: Jatin Goyal (Cambridge International Sangrur), Sharanjit Singh (Mukat Public School Rajpura) bagged first and second positions.

CBSE Cluster XVII under 14, under 17 and under 19 girls Individual: Yukti (DPS Sangrur), Shreya (Shiksha Bharti Kaithal) and Ravneet Kaur (Guru Teg Bahadur School Sangrur) bagged first positions.

Then there was declaration of closing ceremony by opting traditional method of folding the flags. Director Principal Dr. Anita Bhalla proposed the vote of thanks to all. The event closed with the singing of National Anthem amidst the round of applause for the champions.
