DDC Kupwara flags off ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ rally

District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir flagged off a rally under PM's fortnight programme "Swachhata Hi Seva" from DC Office here today.The programme will continue till October 02, 2018, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The rally comprising of about 200 students of various schools, carrying informative placards passed through various markets accompanied by rhythmic sloganeering with regard to cleanliness drive.The main objective of the rally is to carry the message of cleanliness drive to every nook and corner of the district so that the environment can be saved from pollution.The DDC on the occasion interacted with students and suggested them ways to make wide publicity of the campaign. He expressed optimism that such programmes will be carried on a sustained basis in future also and the cleanliness message will reach to every household in the district.The DDC also sought cooperation from the people and said that all of us should join hands to clean our homes, offices hospitals, schools, neighbourhood, villages and whole district to realise Swachh Kupwara.
