The Bharatiya Janata Party’s State President, Sanjay Tandon along with his family members reached at Government Girls Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 18 today at 7 am to cast his vote. Later on, Sanjay Tandon along with Anupam Kher visited more than 100 polling booths in the city to know the response of people. The duo visited all the major sectors including 18, 10, 11, 15, Panjab University, Panjab University 19, 20, 22 27, 28, 32, 33, 34, 35, 37, 38, 38 west, 39, 40, 41, 44, 45 46, 47, 50, 56, Ramdarbar, Colony No 4, Hallomajra,  Indira Colony, Daddu Majra, Kishengarh, Darua, Dhanas, Maloya, Kajeri, Bapu Dham, Badheri, Manimajra. Various other places were covered by the team of party workers led by H S Khurana where he was accompanied by former mayor Harjinder Kaur.

Giving more details, Sanjay Tandon said, “From the first day, we were sure that Chandigarh residents will vote for us. The heavy turn-out of the voters today indicated that city constituents wanted to get rid of the non-performing Congress party and were eagerly waiting for the BJP to form government at the centre under the leadership of the party’s prime ministerial candidate Narender Modi”.Expressing his satisfaction over today’s response, he added, “The unity of the all senior leaders of the party equally contributed for to bring party at the forefront. I along with my supporters did round the clock work to ensure that people of the city vote for our MP candidate, Kirron Kher. I am very hopeful that BJP candidate will emerge as clear cut winner”
