Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today criticized, Gujarat Chief Minister Mr Narender Modi for repeatedly misleading the people on Gujarat model which would indeed leave Haryana way behind its present developed status in case the same is implemented in Haryana. Hooda was addressing different public gatherings during rath yatra orgainsed at Faridabad, Palwal and Mewat today. He said that Haryana is far ahead of Gujarat on 24 fronts which   could clearly be reflected through figures.  These areas include old age, widow and handicapped pension, per capita income, per capita investment and planned budget. He cited many reasons, the prominent is the Old age pension which is Rs 1000 in Haryana and in Gujarat model of development, it is merely Rs 400.

Hooda said that under the Gujarat model, the old age pension would have to be reduced to Rs. 400 from the present Rs 1000. He said that In Haryana under MGNREGA, Rs. 236 per day is been given to the labourers, whereas the farmers are been given Rs. 301 per quintal for sugarcane crop, which is highest in the country. He said that Rs. 10,000 per acre are being given to the farmers as compensation amount for the damage to their crops by natural disasters and financial assistance of Rs. 5 lakh and Rs. 2.50 lakh respectively is given to the widow or dependent children of the farmers in case of his death during farming and for disability. He said that in Haryana, cash price of Rs. 2 crore is given to the bravery award holder soldier which is highest in the country.Hooda said that development of people belonging to every strata of  the society has taken place in Haryana and significant steps have been taken towards women empowerment. He said that Mr Modi should describe his vision of development rather than delivering flimsy speeches which lack seriousness.  Mr Modi is just playing pranks and deceiving people with a dream to become the Prime Minister of the country.
