Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur while addressing a massive public meeting at Paonta Sahib in Sirmour district today said that he had a vision of  making Himachal Pradesh a strong and vibrant State where every person was prosperous and happy. He said that the present State Government  during the present tenure of over 100 days had initiated several schemes for all-round development of the State.He said that the law and order situation  during the tenure of the previous Government in the state was deteriorated and out of control. The ‘Gudiya' and ‘Hoshiyar Singh’ episodes had  tarnished the image of the State. The previous Government was being run by tired and retired people. The first and foremost task before the present  Government was to ensure effective law and order in the State so that everyone could live with peace, he added.The Chief Minster said that he was in  the House for the last over 20 years and had seen 20 budgets presented in the house. The 21st budget was presented by him and it was appreciated  by one and all. He said that the Government set a target for 100 days and has achieved almost all the targets fixed in it.Shri Jai Ram Thakur said that  the present Government from the day one was working with a positive attitude and with only aim of development and welfare. He said that over 1.30  lakh old people were benefited due to lowering of age for getting old pension without income limit from 80 to 70 years.

Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated bridge over Bata river constructed at a cost of Rs 18.72 crore.He announced to opening of electricity sub- division at Puruwala, HRTC sub-depot at Paonta Sahib and sanctioned Rs. 20 lakh for Ramlila ground , Rs. 15 lakh for Himuda colony park and Rs. 10  lakh for Guru Govind Singh park at Paonta Sahib. He announced to start science classes in GSSS Puruwala and Jaminiwala, commerce classes in  GSSS Manjor, Dewra and Ajolikolar.He announced veterinary dispensary at Khirpur, Bhutpur and Khodimajra, 25 tube wells for the area and  construction of office of the Junior Engineer, PWD (B&R) at Paonta Sahib.The Chief Minister said that matter regarding construction of bridge over  Yamuna river would be taken with the government of India. The Chief Minister also inaugurated Pollution Control Board building constructed at a cost of  Rs 3.19 crore and laid foundation stone of bus stand building at Paonta Sahib to be constructed at a cost of Rs 5 crore.He was honoured by various  social, cultural and welfare organizations, Kissan and Yuva Morcha of Sirmour district and areas on the occasion.

Member of Parliament Virender Kashyap said that the State Government was today headed by a hardworking, dynamic and honest Chief Minister and  has done commendable works in the last 100 days. He said that 30 new schemes in the budget for the year 2018-19 show the commitment of the State  Government for welfare of every section of the society. He said that the Poanta Sahib Assembly constituency was today being represented by a  hardworking leader. He urged the people of give their whole-hearted support to the Modi Government in Centre for complete eradication of corruption  from the society. He said that with the cooperation and support of the people, the BJP would again form Government at the Centre as all the schemes  initiated by the Union Government were poor people centric.Local MLA Shri Sukh Ram Chaudhary said that the Chief Minister has gifted the people of  Sirmour with developmental projects worth crores of rupees. He said that the pace of development had come to the grinding halt during the tenure of the  previous Government. The foundation stone of the bridge over Bata river was laid during the tenure of the previous BJP Government and today it was  inaugurated by the Chief Minister.BJP Mandal President Shri Devinder Chaudhary welcomed the Chief Minister and other dignitaries on the occasion.  Urban Development Minister Smt. Sarveen Chaudhary, MLA Shri Suresh Kashyap, former MLAs Shri Baldev Tomar and Shri Fateh Singh,  BJP leaders  Shri Chander Mohan Thakur, Shri Balbir Chauhan, were present on the occasion among others.
