Mother Language Week  celebrated  at Gian Jyoti Group Of Institutes by holding plays and seminars devoted to mother language showcasing rich language and cultural heritage of Punjab. Addressing the students  Chairman ,Gian Jyoti Group ,J.S. Bedi said that Language is vital for personal identity, cultural development, social bridging, and educational advancement.  According to him languages are a sacred heritage of people as they provide them with a composite set of values capsulated in their vocabulary, traditions, culture and preserving their identity in the world.Students from different regions also represented their native languages through power point presentations and posters. There was lot of enthusiasm among the participants. Students were also encouraged to be fluent in the mother tongue which connects them to his culture, ensures better cognitive development, and aids in the learning of other languages.Director, GJIMT,  Aneet Bedi  put emphasis on the fact that although globalization is helping to make the world a smaller place, but it has also contributed to the loss of many languages around the World. She further also informed that many human languages are on the verge to become extinct.
