District Development Commissioner Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, also Chairman Rajouri Red Cross Society was handed over Rolling Red Cross Trophy 2017 by Himalayan Degree College Rajouri, here today.It is pertinent to mention that Himalayan Degree College had won the Red Cross Trophy in March 2017 in a State level competition organized by the Red Cross Society of India, Jammu region where more than 100 institutions including colleges and schools of the State competed for the trophy.The trophy was presented by Governor of Jammu and Kashmir , N.N. Vohra to the Himalayan College students and representatives for a winning folk cultural presentation.Today, the trophy was customarily returned to the Deputy Commissioner by the College faculty member Waseem Malik and the college students including Heena Khan, Mohammad Tanveer, Huma Rafiq, Alisha Bangotra, Noor Sabha and Radha Sharma.Dr. Shahid appreciated the students who preformed spectacularly to win the trophy and wished them bright future.Chief Planning Officer Abdul Hamid, Assistant Commissioner Defence Ramkesh Sharma, ARTO Jugal Kishore and Assistant Director Planning Bilal Mir were also present on the occasion.
