DDC Anantnag reviews action taken status on CM directions

The District Development Commissioner, Anantnag Mohammad Younis Malik today reviewed the progress made in implementing the directions passed by the Chief Minister during the Public Darbar on 11th of November 2017, here at Dak Bunglow.The DDC was apprised that 319 directions were passed in the public darbar on 11th of November, out of which 37 directions have been implemented so far.The meeting was informed that the upgradation of WSS Brinty-Batpora, water facility to Gujjar and Bakerwal community at Pahalgam, playground at Dadoo, flood protection works at Mirgund and improvement of LT/HT network at Pahalgam are those implemented works where financial commitments were made.It was further revealed that receiving station Shankerpora and Sallar have been augmented, while as the augmentation of RS Hillar has been tendered out and shall be completed June, 2018. Besides, the construction work of receiving stations at Dandipora, Ara Khushipora Damhal and Kokernag has been proposed under centrally sponsored schemes.

Reviewing the progress on the repairing and renovation works on different ziyarats, the meeting was told that Ziyarat Sharief Khiram has been included under PRASAD for pilgrimage tourism.The Exens PHE informed the chair that DPR of WSS Watnard and Kokernag have been submitted to the higher authorities, while as WSS Kasana Mohalla shall be taken up under NABARD. Besides, work on other projects is going on. The DDC directed them to ensure the completion of the works on war-footing basis.The chair was informed that DPR formulation of sports fields at different parts of the district has been completed and the work execution shall be started within a month, apprised the officers of Youth Services & Sports Department and J&K Sports Council.Exen R&B Dooru Division informed that surveying process has been completed in respect of Anantnag-Dooru-Verinag (ADV) road while as DRP formulation is underway. Meanwhile, the chair directed the SE R&B to explore the feasibility of connecting ADV road with the national highway.

The representative of Directorate Health Services informed the meeting that feasibility regarding renovation, strengthening and upgradation of some PHCs has been verified while as some PHCs have been upgraded which require the strengthening in terms of staffing.The officers appraised the chair about the status of implementation of the directions passed by the Chief Minister and assured of timely completion of the projects/directions.The DDC said that inter-departmental committee has been constituted for monitoring the implementation of different projects which have been approved in the public durbar.The meeting was attended by ADDC, SE R&B, and PDD, Exens of R&B, PHE, PDD, PMGSY, Chief Education Officer, district officers of Tourism, Health, Revenue, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, Social Welfare, Industries and other departments.
