Chering Dorjay launches Gulistan Ladakhi News Bulletin

Says bulletin will help to boost dev of region

Minister for Cooperatives and Ladakh Affairs, Chering Dorjay today launched Gulistan Ladakhi News Bulletin for the people of Ladakh here.Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC Kargil, Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan, Legislators Nawang Rigzin Jora, Asghar Ali Karbalai and Deldan Namgail were also present on the occasion.Speaking on the occasion, Dorjay congratulated the Gulistan Channel Chief and his team and said that by launching Ladakhi News Bulletin through the Gulistan Channel it will not only promote the language, culture and tradition of the region but also help in increasing the footfall of the tourist towards Ladakh. He further said it is innovative initiative by the said channel to make efforts to brought closeness of the people to their mother tongue. He said it will also provide platform to the people of Ladakh who are residing outside the area for various reasons to connect to their homeland.He also said that with the launch of the bulletin, the people of Ladakh will get wider identification and information besides being reliable on factual, truthful, unbiased and impartial news. He further said that it is a fact that media plays a vital role in the overall development of the society and hoped that this channel will maintain a balanced society which is characterized by well informed people and social justice.Highlighting the importance of mother tongue, the minister said that it will also help in promoting Ladakhi language and stressed on highlighting the important issues related to the development of the region.Legislators who were present also highlighted the importance of launching of Ladakhi News Bulletin and also demanded for telecasting of Ladakhi News bulletin on every day.
