District Administration, Rajouri has clarified about protest by a group of 20-25 persons, expressing their affiliation with PDP unit Rajouri, against preferential treatment to “another constituency” and not allowing their deputations to meet the Chief Minister. The timely identification of miscreants also helped the authorities to foil a bid to create chaos in a well planned and organized management. In a statement issued here today a spokesman of the District Administration Rajouri said, that a total of 114 deputations met the Chief Minister during her day long public outreach programme at Rajouri which included 42 deputations from Rajouri constituency, 34 deputations from Nowshera, 20 from Darhal-Budhal constituency and 18 from Kalakote. As per the entry list the representatives of Rajouri assembly constituency were part of at least 58 deputations as in 16 deputations 1-3 persons from Rajouri also entered along with other deputations and presented their demands to the Chief Minister. The names of all such persons / representatives have been compiled.  The first three deputations who met the Chief Minister were from Rajouri assembly segment. The first deputation lead by PDP leader Haji Jamshed was seated in the conference hall 20 minutes before the arrival of Chief Minister. As per the minutes of proceedings, 12 deputations from Rajouri constituency met the Chief Minister among first 20 deputations.

“However, a video examined by the district administration has revealed that one Reyaz Ahmed identifying himself as PA of MLA Rajouri was found instigating a group of people at the frisking gate and was shouting against the administration which lead to a brief chaos. The said person was earlier seen in a video, instigating college students in a similar fashion. The matter is being looked into,” the spokesman said.

He said the District Administration allocated serial numbers to the deputations however many deputations forced their entry in waiting area leading to delay in meeting deputations from far flung areas. It is pertinent to mention here that out of last 25 deputations who met the Chief Minister between 2030Hrs to 2355Hrs, 22 deputations were from Budhal, Keri, Gunda, Darhal, Palam, Keeri, Khwas, Treru, Kalakote, Pukerni, Sunderbani, Bhawani, Kalsian and Nowshera all far flung belts of the district. He said the Civil Society Rajouri has expressed strong resentment about the motivated and organized outrage of Reyaz Ahmed leading some PDP workers into sloganeering. People from all walks of life met the chief minister. The deputations were finalized as per requests received and efforts were made to accommodate maximum deputations. In entire state it was maximum number of deputations which met the Chief Minister in any district so far.The Chief Minister appreciated the arrangements made by the District Administration and professionalism with which the deputations were conducted. The Deputy Commissioner Rajouri himself was shuttling between enclosures and conference hall last 5 hours of the day to ensure that all deputations get opportunity to meet the Chief Minister. It is pertinent to mention that deputations who met in the morning took more than allotted time going upto 20-30 minutes which made the administration to put in best efforts for accommodating all deputations post-lunch upto midnight.
