member delegation of Jammu Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee (JKSAC) led by its President, S. Gurdev Singh, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today. The delegation requested the Governor to impress upon the Central and the State Governments to prepare a comprehensive roadmap for the final settlement of their demand for being paid compensation for their properties in POK; compensation for the deficiencies in the lands earlier allotted to them; paid reimbursement for the areas of land not allotted to them, employment package and reservation of seats for their wards in technical institutions and government jobs; speedy cash disbursement of Rs. 2000 crore package meant for Displaced Persons (DPs) of 1947, 1965 and 1971; all such DPs being categorized as beneficiaries of the Rs 2000 crore package, particularly those whose records are missing from the PRO’s office; simplification of procedure for  obtaining Permanent Resident Certificates by the DPs.Governor informed the JKSAC that he had earlier also taken up their problems with the Union Home Minister and the Chief Minister and would address them again.
