Charanjit Singh Channi hands over appointment letters to 64 lecturers & 5 Librarians of Polytechnic Colleges

The Technical Education Minister, Punjab, Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi today handed over appointment letters to lecturers of Polytechnic Colleges as part of the recruitment process of the technical Education Department in the Government Polytechnic colleges of the state. On the occasion, choice stations were also allotted to the lecturers as per their convenience.The Technical Education Minister gave a one to one personal hearing to all the newly appointed lecturers before finalising their posting orders. The Minister said that everyone was personally heard as he has tried to adjust all the newly selected lecturers as per their choice in a transparent manner. 'Official posting orders of the newly selected lecturers would be issued within a day or two', added the minister. The Technical Education Minister said that total 64 lecturers have been recruited in the government polytechnic colleges which includes 33- Computer Science lecturers, 12-Physics, 8 English, 5-Medical Lab Technology, 5-Math, 1- Library Science and besides this 5- Librarians have also been recruited. 

Mr. Channi said that the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh led Punjab Government is fully committed to provide 'Ghar Ghar Rozgar' to the Youth of Punjab. He said that the various vacant posts in the technical education department would also be filled soon.  The Technical Education Minister said that the technical education department is also in process to strengthen infrastructure of Government Polytechnic Colleges and ITI's. He said that the Rs 100 crore is being spent on strengthening and modernization of the infrastructure. Mr. Channi said that the technical education department had taken concrete steps to provide quality education including installation of video cameras in the examination centres and implementing bio-metric attendance system in all technical education institutes across the state.
