An awareness camp was conducted by District Red Cross Society Udhampur for JRC/YRC to be held at Mansar of Zone Babay & Majalta of district Udhampur here on Friday. Regional Secretary Red Cross Society Jammu, R.C Puri was the chief guest while Secretary Red Cross society Udhampur V.P Sharma presided over the camp. As many as 68 participants from different educational institutions of zone Babey & Majalta, including staff members participated in the awareness camp. Speakers on the occasion threw light on the functioning and performance of Red Cross society and delivered a lecture regarding generating mass awareness among the common masses, for strengthening of Red Cross society in the district.While speaking on the occasion, Regional Secretary Red Cross society Jammu, R C Puri said that main aims and objective of organizing this camp is to create awareness among the common masses in the society. He added that such types of awareness camps would be organized in near future also.Among others, ZEO Majalta, and large number of Red Cross volunteers were present on the occasion.
