Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhanjeri organized a PTU sponsored National Workshop on Advanced VLSI Design and Embedded System With a view to make students aware of the latest developments & practical applications of crucial subjects. The key note speaker at the moment was Dr. B.K Kaushik, Professor IIT ROORKEE, who delivered an expert Lecture on Latest Trends in VLSI, ULSI and their designing methodologies. He also covered a number of topics including Low VLSI Power Design and 3D vertical Memories. Another expert Dr. Mandeep Singh, Assistant Professor, Thapar University delivered a talk on Embedded system and latest trends in electronic devices using Raspberry pi, i.e., small CPU with Internet of Things and also discussed some projects on Embedded system. Students were explained the applications of VLSI and Embedded system in various electronic Products. A large number of delegates from different Universities & colleges participated in this Workshop.Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, President CGC congratulated the staff for organizing workshop on extremely relevant topics attracting such a large number of delegates. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. G.D Bansal, Director General said that CGC lays full emphasis on polishing and imparting practical knowledge to the students. Such workshops prove extremely useful in this direction.
