District Development Commissioner Shopian, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today chaired a meeting to review the progress on construction of Mini Secretariat Arhama and District Hospital Shopian being executed by J&K Projects Construction Corporation (JKPCC). The meeting, among others, was attended by Chief Planning Officer Shopian, Deputy General Manager JKPCC, Chief Medical Officer Shopian, Executive Engineer R&B, Executive Engineer PHE, Assistant Commissioner Development and other concerned officers. Earlier, the meeting was apprised by executing agencies about pace and progress of under construction 100-bedded District Hospital coming up at the cost of Rs 23.65 crore. It was given out that work on the hospital is in final stages of completion and remaining work on the same would be expedited for its early completion. The meeting also held threadbare discussions on bottlenecks hindering the timely execution of JKPCC projects and directions were given for expediting the works with better synergy. The DDC directed the concerned authorities to ensure the completion of work on the district hospital on priority so that it becomes functional as early as possible. With regard to the establishment of canteen in the Mini secretariat complex, it was decided that the canteen will established on a public private partnership (PPP) basis and the revenue will be shared between the Department and the agency.
