Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta inaugurated newly upgraded lanes and drains in ward no. 55 at Gandhi Nagar.While addressing the gathering, the Speaker said that “Development works across Gandhi Nagar constituency are in full swing and instructions have been issued to the officers to cover each and every pocket” he said, adding that the government’s resolve is to create better living conditions for the people.Speaker informed the locals that more development projects will be launched in the area for ensuring better amenities.After inauguration, Kavinder Gupta interacted with local people and listened to their problems and demands. He assured that all their grievances will be redressed and directed the concern officers to take the requisite steps in this regard.Senior functionaries of various departments and locals were present on the occasion.The Speaker also started plantation drive at Narwal near Wave Mall along with local people of the area.He also encouraged others to follow the same and increase the green cover in Jammu by planting more and more trees.
