The Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated with religious fervor across Ramban district today. The main congregational prayers were held at Jamia Masjid Sharif Ramban, where thousands of devotees offered  Nimaz –e-Eid and prayed for peace, development and prosperity of the State and the country.The District administration had made elaborate security and other necessary arrangements for smooth celebration of Eid-ul- Fitr festival.The Eid prayers were also held at different places in the  town and its outskirts including, Chandrog, Maitra and Upper Ramban.After prayers,  District Development Commissioner, Ramban, Tariq Hussain Ganai, other officers of district administration and people from all walks of life from Ramban extended greetings to the people on this sacred occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and shared the joys and happiness with each other.

Greeting the people on the occasion, SSP Ramban, Mohan Lal and ADC Angrez Singh said that such occasions provide opportunity to strengthen mutual brotherhood, communal harmony and unity in the society.

The reports for celebration of  Eid festival were also received from various parts of the district including, Tehsil Banihal, Ukhral, Batote ,Gool and Rajgrah.Like other parts of the State, the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr was also celebrated with religious fervor and enthusiasm in Reasi district.

Mosques across the district were decorated to mark the occasion and markets witnessed huge rush of people purchasing sweets and gifts.   The man Eid prayers were offered at Jama Masjid Reasi, where adequate arrangements for security and other facilities were made by the district administration. The Eid Namaz was also offered in other mosques of district  including, Dharmari, Mahor, Gulabgarh, where SDM and officers of local administration also participated in prayers.Deputy Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar and other senior civil and police officers exchanged Eid greetings with Muslim brethren and prayed for peace and tranquility in the state. The Muslim brethren also exchanged wishes, sweets and gifts with people from all walks of life.
