DDC discusses arrangements for Eid-Ul-Fitr celebration

To review the arrangements for celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr and Shab-e-Qadar, District Development Commissioner, Tariq Hussain Ganai, convened a meeting of district officers, religious representatives and members of Beoparmandal here today.Detailed discussion was held on arrangements being put in place for smooth and peaceful conduct of the festival besides discussing measures to be taken for convenience of the devotees visiting Mosque, Eid Gahs for special prayer on the day.The DDC directed the concerned officers to ensure adequate supply of essential commodities, drinking water, electricity, sanitation, traffic management, security deployment, Medicare, availability of ambulance along with staff. He exhorted upon the Tehsildars and municipal committees and FCS&CA department to conduct market checking to curb overcharging on eatables and to ensure that quality of essential commodities are provided to the consumers.The Municipal and other concerned authorities were directed to intensify the sanitation in and around the towns especially in Mosque of the district.The DC asked the SSP to ensure adequate deployment of security persons in the city to avoid any untoward incident during the festival. Besides, the AD, FCS&CA was directed to ensure availability of essential commodities like sugar, flour, Rice, LPG and Kerosene oil to the public besides distributing additional sugar to the  public.Traffic Police Officers were directed to keep a check on traffic movement and parking of vehicles along the road side in the town areas.Meeting was attended by SSP Traffic, Sanjay Bhaghat, ADDC, Ravinder Nath Sadhu, ADC, Angrez Singh, ACR, Vevaik Puri,  SDMs, XENs, AD, FSC&CA,  Tehsildars, EOs and representatives of Masjid Committees.
