Minister for Information Technology, Technical Education and Youth Services & Sports, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari, Tuesday reviewed the power scenario of Pattan, Gurez and Bandipora.Ansari who is also Chairman District Development Board, Bandipora chaired a high level meeting attended by Deputy Speaker of J&K Assembly, Nazir Ahmad Gurezi, Commissioner Secretary Finance, Navin Chowdhary, Commissioner Secretary Power, Dheeraj Gupta and various officials of the concerned department.During the meeting, the Minister asked the officers to gear up their machinery for improving the power supply in rural areas of Pattan and directed for the installations of transformers, electric polls and wires for the proper distribution of power supply in the Pattan constituency.In order to improve power scenario in Gurez area, the Minister directed the officials of PDD to adhere to the power schedule strictly and asked them to ensure adequate power supply in rural pockets of Gurez area. He also directed the officers for increasing the power supply hours from 5 s to 6 hours in Gurez.While giving a patient hearing to the grievances of the deputations, Ansari assured that infrastructure in Pattan area would be taken up on priority basis and would be completed within a stipulated time frame.
