A high level team of Vigilance Bureau led by Mr. BK Uppal, Chief Director, Bureau today made a special visit of Harike Head Works. Mr. Uppal reviewed the scrutiny of irregularities in the development works of Harike Head Works, Sirhind Feeder Canal, Ferozepur Feeder Canal and Bikaner Canal.Prior to this, Mr. Uppal had also held a meeting with senior officers of Vigilance Bureau, technical experts and engineers of Irrigation Department at Canal Guest House, Harike and subsequently visited the site to review the ground realities. Mr. Uppal said that corruption and irregularities in public works would not be entertained at any cost as it directly cost to public exchequer. He said that strict legal action would be taken against the culprits.It has been observed that for the last one month, the investigation was being conducted by senior officers of Vigilance Bureau, Mr. Daljinder Singh Dhillon, Senior Superintendent Police, Vigilance Bureau Jalandhar Range, Jalandhar and Mr. Rajinder Singh, Senior Superintendent Police, Vigilance Bureau Bathinda Range Bathinda, and Engineers and Technical Experts of Vigilance Bureau .
