Kargil , 22 Feb 2014

Congress led UPA has once again discriminated the people of Ladakh region in the recent announcement made by Union Health Minster, Ghulam Nabi Azad for opening of 4 New Medical Colleges in Jammu and Kashmir, this was stated by the BJP's State Executive Member and Regional Vice President Ladakh, Mohmad Subhan Jaffary here in a press release. While accusing Congress led UPA, especially Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad for playing with the sentiments of people of Ladakh Region, Subhan Jaffary said, Ladakh region remain cut off from rest part of the world for more than 6 months due to heavy snowfall at Zojila and people had to face lots of problem due to unavailability of inadequate facilities of medical equipment and faculty of Doctors at both the District Hospital of Ladakh (Kargil-Leh).

He said, in order for advanced treatment there is no other means in Ladakh, the only means in winter is airways, but unfortunately airlines companies charge very huge amount in airfare which poor people unable to afford. He further said, Ladakh Region also became victim of the discriminatory policies being propagated by the Congress from last 60 years as they have no door of justice and only BJP has the door of justice to the people of Ladakh because Shri. Atal Bhari Vajpayee as Prime Minister of India in his tenure had granted life line of Ladakh as National Highway status and sanctioned 2 Hydro Electric Power Project for both the district. He also sanctioned the construction of Zojila Tunnel, but Congress government delayed in the process of making feasibility report and tendering, Jaffary added.

Moreover, adding Jaffary stated that Ladakh, particularly Kargil was not given any special status by Congress led UPA in the flagship programs like either in the Health sector under NRHM or Education sector in SSA and Rural Development Sector in MGNREGA and many more for being far flung and border district having limited working season.Meanwhile, Jaffary said, times has change now and people are very afraid from the policies of Congress led UPA and in the upcoming Lok Sabha election Bharatia Janta Party  (BJP) will emerge as single largest party all over India.
