Fruit growers delegation meets DDC Baramulla

A delegation of Fruit growers of Baramulla today called on District Development Commissioner Dr. Nasir Ahmad Naqash and apprised him about issues confronting them.The meeting discussed issues regarding construction of shops and fads at Fruit Mandi Kanispora. On the occasion, the fruit growers assured the DDC that they will cooperate with the district administration for smooth functioning and development of the fruit mandi.The DDC said that the district administration will address all the genuine concerns of the fruit growers on priority. He said that compensation will be provided to those farmers who have provided land for the construction fruit mandi at Kanispora within a week’s time. He asked the fruit growers who have deposited the required amount and done the paper work to commence the construction work on their respective allotted fads and shops from March 25 2017.Director Horticulture Planning & Marketing, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, officers from Horticulture and Marketing Department were also present on the occasion.
