Minister for Health & Medical Education, Bali Bhagat has called upon the parents and teachers to make collective efforts to nurture the future of the students. He said both teachers-parents have equal responsibility to shape the future of the children so that they grow appropriately in different fields after attaining their formal studies.Speaking at an annual day function of DRS Kids International School Bishnah which was celebrated at auditorium of Government Women College Gandhi Nagar here today, the Minister said that the trends of the modern education have altogether changed and main focus of the teachers and parents on securing high percentage of marks in different classes, which is good up to some extent, but the basic objective of education must not be overshadowed. He said the younger generation has de-tracked from their roots, moral ethos, and rich Indian culture due to present internet era which is not auger well for the society in future. “We all, especially the parents and teachers have to instill the moral values amongst the children to keep alive the rich heritage of our culture and languages for the coming generations”, he asserted.Appreciating the efforts of the DRS Kids International School for providing quality education and side by side inculcating co-curricular activities to the children, the Minister said that the effort will go a long way in improving the education standards in the rural areas  and prepare the children to take the future challenges. He said that private sector is doing excellent work in the field of education and government acknowledges the improvement in literacy rate from the past some years, said the Minister.The tiny-tots presented a colorful bonanza of cultural items that mesmerized the jam packed audience.Earlier, the Principal, Ms Renu Sharma welcomed the audience and presented the annual report of the school. She also highlighted the futuristic plans of the school.
