Aam Aadmi Party on thursday again cleared that Punjab has no surplus water to give to Haryana and it should be given from the Sharda-Yamuna link canal as per the plan made. Addressing the media at Chandigarh, AAP leader, H.S. Phoolka said that centre must widraw the 1976 orders and solve the issue. The next hearing of SYL case is on March 28.He said that as per the plan made in 2002, centre government agreed to construct Sharda-Yamuna link canal starting from Champawat district of Uttrakhand and merging it in Yamuna river near Karnal in Haryana. Even SC told the centre government to constrauct the canal as the excessive water was causing fluds in Uttrakhan and it can be used in Haryana."Badal must talk to Modi and ask his alliance partner to construct Sharda-Yamuna link canal so that unnecessary conflict between two states can be solved. Centre must stop stepmotherly treatment to Punjab." Phoolka said. He said that political inability and lack of wilness of SAD-BJP and Congress created tussle between Punjab and Haryana.AAP leaders Gulshan Chhabra, Adv. Navkiran Singh, Capt. G.S. Kang and Jagtar Sanghera were also present on the occassion.
