Ludhiana College of Engineering & Technology organised Annual Athletic Meet 2017 with great zeal and fervor  at  its campus.  Balkar Singh Bajwa, a renowned educationist and Ex-Principal of GHG Khalsa College of Education was the Chief Guest of the Inaugural Ceremony. The Chief Guest took the salute from the march past and formally inaugurated the event. Addressing the students, Ex Principal Bajwa said that games are the important part of the human life and we should not ignore it even in our hectic daily life. He praised the girls for taking pride to the nation in every field of the life. He also admired the role of the college in the field of sports at National level.The sports students of the college, who excelled in various state and inter-university championships, lit the torch and took oath to compete with a sense of sportsmanship. 

Participants slugged it out to claim the top spot in various sports events which included 1,500m, 800m, 400m, 200m, 4x100 relay, obstacle races, high jump, long jump, triple jump, shot put, discus throw and slow cycling, Obstacle race, Javelin throw, Hammer throw and tug-of-war.GS Brar and HS Grewal who are veteran sportsman and experienced coaches were also present for the Closing Ceremony. S. GS Brar said that LCET has no leaps and bounds as far as its growth is concerned. It’s an ever growing organization which is in a Numero Uno position in providing quality education in the region. The prizes were distributed by the Chief Guest to the winners of the various competitions.Sh. Vijay K Gupta, Chairman ,LCET said that It is the mission and Vision of the college to encourage students for their all-round development and it further envisions promoting sports as a pertinent part of life, reassuring contribution of sports to success.
