As a part of an initiative to facilitate aspirants of civil services exams, a 20-day free coaching capsule today started here at auditorium hall, Government Degree College (Boys), Anantnag.The Deputy Commissioner, Anantnag, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah delivered the inaugural class and kick-started the free coaching classes. The Deputy Commissioner outlined the broader contours of general studies and methodology for preparation of civil services. He also advised the students that the level of examination demands perseverance, determination, smart work, and diligence. Later, the empanelled officers delivered classes on different components of general studies.The District Civil Services Cell had called for the registration of desirous candidates for free coaching and has witnessed an over-whelming response from the aspirants across the Valley and specifically from South Kashmir.On the occasion, the students registered themselves formally for the free coaching.
Owing to the huge response and in light to ensure quality coaching, the DC informed that the aspirants shall be bifurcated in two sections–those who have applied for Combined Civil Services (Preliminary), 2016 and those who have not yet applied for the examination.As many as 20 officers of different academic backgrounds will be delivering coaching classes to the aspirants. After finalising the registration, classes on optional subjects will also be imparted from tomorrow.The district administration has also kept available coaching material of reputed coaching institutions for the aspirants. Those intending to procure the coaching material were informed to enlist their names with the Examination Cell of Government Degree College (Boys), Anantnag.The inaugural function was attended by Principal GDC Anantnag, Faculty Members, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, officers and a mammoth gathering of over 800 civil services aspirants.
