Terming the decision of US president Donald Trump to ban citizens from seven Muslim-majority countries as “racist and discriminatory”, the Jammu and Kashmir liberation Front (JKLF) Chief Yasin Malik on Monday said that the politics of fascism and racism has never triumphed in past.“Policies of discrimination may hurt others for time being but are bound to damage its perpetrators and their nations permanently,” he said, in a statement, issued here today.Malik said that history bears a witness to the fact that leaders and countries that adopted policies based on inhuman instincts, religious, ethnic, linguistic or any other discriminations not only destroyed themselves but their countries and nations too.Citing the example of erstwhile Germany, JKLF chairman said that once Germany was a super power and people across globe felt privileged to enter Germany for education and other purpose but Adolf Hitler destroyed this image of Germany by adopting policy of discrimination against Jews and not only ruined himself but also hurt his nation.

“Same are the examples of other fascist and racist leaders and rulers who traumatized themselves and their nations and gained nothing but shame from the politics of hate and discrimination,” he said.Showing concern over the growing religious and racist intolerance especially on Government levels, JKLF chairman said that policies adopted by leaders like Donald Trump and Narendra Modi like leaders has started a war between races and religions and because of these policies we today witness attacks on Mosques, Churches, Cathedrals and other religious places in USA, India and in many other countries.Condemning the attack on a mosque in Canada in which many Muslims have been martyred, JKLF chairman said that policies of hatred adopted by rulers have poisoned societies and enhanced religious intolerance resulting in such heinous criminal attacks.Emphasizing on the need of restraint and shunning the politics of hate, discrimination and intolerance, Malik said that leaders and rulers need to rethink on their policies as these may lead the whole world to disaster and distress. He hoped that better sense will prevail and rulers like Trump to Modi would roll back their politics and policies based on “discrimination and hate.” (CNS)
