Terming the BJP Manifesto released by union finance minister Arun Jaitley today as “Chunavi Jumla” on the pattern of poll document released before Lok Sabha Poll in 2014, Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader HS Phoolka today condemned that manifesto remained silent n the much awaited implementation of Swaminathan Committee’s report.“For peasantry of Punjab, where several farmers have already committed suicide due to being under heavy debt, implementation of Swaminathan Committee was must to save farmers of Punjab”, Phoolka said that instead of promising the same before Lok Sabha election, BJP is today got exposed on its anti-farmers stand by remaining non-committal on the issue in its poll document.“Our Delhi Government wanted to implement some of the key clauses of Swaminathan Committee in Delhi, but Modi led NDA government did not allow for it, but in Punjab AAP is committed to implement the report”, he added.

Phoolka said even Jaitley abruptly opposed to make “Poll Manifesto” as legal binding for all political parties, which AAP had strongly advocated, shows that BJP is never serious while making poll promises, as it did before Lok Sabha elections in 2014 and later termed the key promises made as “Chunavi Jumle”.Senior AAP leader reiterated that Poll Manifesto should have legal bindings for all political parties and Election Commission should de-recognise the political parties, which do not implement the promises made in the Poll Document after formation of government.Phoolka said that union finance minister also failed to make any promise for revival of small & medium industrial units, which were forced to close due to demonetisation.“BJP Manifesto is mere piece of waste paper of “chunavi Jumla”, as the party is bankrupt for any comprehensive plan for Punjab”, Phoolka said.
