Education Minister hands over appointment letters to 1008 Master Cadre teachers

The Education Minister, Punjab, today handed over appointment letters to 1008 Master Cadre teachers as part of the recruitment process of the Education Department in the Government schools of the state. On the occasion, choice stations were also allotted to the teachers on merit by displaying the list of vacant stations.In a function held at the auditorium of the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), Dr. Cheema said that the department is trying to ensure that no post should remain vacant which explains why the left over posts are being filled up from the waiting list. Tomorrow, 1008 teachers would be given appointment letters out of the waiting list of 6050 Master Cadre teachers.The Education Minister further said that during the past decade 84000 teachers were recruited by the department. On the occasion, Mr Balbir Singh Dhol, Chairman, Punjab School Education Board, Mr Sukhdev Singh Kahlon, DPI (Secondary Education), Mr Inderjit Singh, DPI (Elementary Education), Mrs Gurpreet Kaur Dhaliwal, Director (Administration) Mr Dharam Singh and Dr. Ginni Duggal (both Deputy Directors), Mr Lalit Ghai and Me Baljinder Singh (Assistant Directors) were also present.
