Encourage youth to participate in unconventional sports: Lal Singh

Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment, Choudhary Lal Singh today laid thrust on participation of youth in unconventional sports. He said these sports provide a greater opportunity to the students to excel and make a mark in traditional sports.Lal Singh said this in a function organized to give warm send off to fencer, Vansh Mahajan for the forthcoming 'Hong Kong Fencing Championship' being held at Hong Kong from December 3 to 5.Lal Singh wished good luck for Vansh and hoped that his talent and hard work will bring laurels to nation and the state. He asked the youth of the state to take inspiration from Vansh and actively participate in sporting activities.Among others, present at the occasion included Secretary, J&K Amateur Fencing Association, Vijay Sharma, Coach, Shotu Lal, International player, Ajay Khartol.
