Punjab BJP secretary Vineet Joshi today flayed Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and PPCC chief Amarinder Singh for visiting ATMs to “cash in on cheap popularity”. The state party secretary said, “Rahul Gandhi and Capt. Amarinder Singh are unable to digest the historic decision of PM Narendra Modi. Both the two leaders tried to score brownie points by standing in ques outside the ATMs, but the fact is that none of them have ever been to an ATM or a bank to withdraw money in their entire lives”.Appreciating the decision of the Prime Minister to demonitise Rs 500 and Rs1000 notes, Joshi said that this step would not only curb the menace of black money, but will go a long way in tackling serious issues like terrorism, money-laundering, corruption and drugs. “PM Modi has demonstrated his strong political will and his unwavering commitment to fulfill the promises he made to people. The ones who are deriding him are only those who have black money stashed in their backyards. Who knows, Congress and AAP might be suffering the same pangs?” he said.“The common man might be facing certain difficulties due to this decision, but the citizens have always stood up for the betterment and development of the country”, added Joshi.
