Chief Secretary, B. R. Sharma today visited various sections in the Civil Secretariat, Jammu and took stock of the arrangements made for the annual Darbar Move.He was accompanied by Principal Secretary to Chief Minister B. B. Vyas .Chief Secretary inspected the renovation and other repair works and directed the concerned agencies to speed up the pace of work and complete the same before opening of Darbar Move at winter capital for smooth and hassle free working in all departments.He inspected the newly constructed prefabricated rooms at Secretariat besides the renovated waiting hall of the Secretariat Complex and directed the concerned to ensure its proper  maintenance and upkeep .Later, the Chief Secretary also inspected staff residential quarters at B.C Road, Tangewali Gali , Ahata Amar Singh and New Rehari. He took stock of power, water, sanitation, security and other facilities for the employees. He directed the concerned departments for timely completion of repair and maintenance work and ensure proper sanitation in and around the premises. He also directed for developing one staff residential colony as a model colony having all the basic facilities in a planned manner so that other colonies would also be developed and maintained on the same pattern in future.Among others, Special Secretary to Chief Secretary, Deputy Director Estates Jammu, Executive Engineer Estate, Engineers of PDD, PWD, PHE, President J&K Civil Secretariat (Non-Gazetted) Employees Union besides other senior officers of concerned department accompanied the Chief Secretary.
