AIP President and MLA Langate Er Rasheed has appealed Pakistan to show maximum restrain and ensure that civilians across LoC in J&K don’t get harmed and has reminded Pakistan not to forget that it has been supporting Kashmiris movement for right to self-determination right from 1947. In a statement issued to KNS, Er Rasheed said, “Though people on Pakistani side of LoC are also worst sufferers of cross LoC shelling, but as Pakistan has always been supporting Kashmiris so it is Pakistan’s moral duty to take care of people of J&K cutting across regional, caste and religious affiliations, while indulging in cross LoC shelling with India. However, the incidents have yet again proved a need to resolution of Kashmir dispute at an earliest. The heavy shelling on LoC, resulting in loss of life and property should act as an eye opener for those who always talk of war. These elements need to understand yet again that it is easy to talk war in drawing rooms.

The war mongers should visit border areas in entire Jammu province and parts of Kashmir and it will not be much difficult for them to understand war, animosity and hate means nothing except destruction.” Er Rasheed also expressed surprise over CM Mehbooba Mufti’s revelation that Pakistan needs to take first step to establish peace. He said, “It is strange Mehbooba saying so, as Pakistan has offered India talks on more than one occasions, but India has responded by rejecting the talk offers, claiming executing surgical strikes, ensuring postponement of SAARC summit and deporting Pakistani officials in Delhi embassy. It seems as if Indian foreign policy is well in control of few TV anchors and right wing politicians.”Er Rasheed added that Mehbooba should not mislead anyone but must understand that such irresponsible statements erode her own credibility. He said rather accusing Pakistan Mehbooba must ask New Delhi not to use people of J&K as fuel for animosity between India and Pakistan. (KNS)
