Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Prakash Ganga today inaugurated upgradation work for road from Birpur to Khada Maidana being executed by PWD department.The 6 km road will be taken up under the City and Town Roads Scheme at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.60 crore.The Minister while speaking on the occasion reiterated the commitment of the government to improve rural road connectivity for economic upliftment and generating employment at the village level. He said that a comprehensive plan to improve road connectivity is underway in the entire state which shall help in equitable development and giving a boost to the tourism sector. He called upon the concerned agencies to complete the works within the fixed timelines while strictly adhering to the quality standards.The Minister was accompanied by Vice Chairperson OBC Advisory Board, Rashpaul Verma, MLA Samba, Devinder Manyal, Xen PWD K.S Nathyal and AEE Rajesh Sumbaria.
