Tourist Taxi Operators Association (TTOA) Kashmir on Tuesday said that it suffered a loss estimated at more than 2.80 crores during past 101 days of ongoing unrest.“We suffered a loss estimated at more than 2.80 crores as the Valley witnessed no tourists during this season,” Ghulam Nabi Pandaw, president of the association, stand no 2 told KNS.He said that the central government should initiate dialogue to resolve the long-pending issue of Kashmir so that the people here could feel a sigh of relief. “The Government of India should start dialogue to resolve the issue as per the aspirations of Kashmiris,” he said.Meanwhile, Fida Ahmad Khan, General Secretary of TTOA said termed the visits of Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh as futile exercises.“What was done after Rajnath’s visited Valley. Despite his repeated visits during ongoing unrest, the killing of Kashmiris continue,” he said.“PM Modi has said that he has love for Kashmir but unfortunately his remarks felt ill on ground as nearly 100 people were killed while thousands were maimed by the forces in the past three months. If he has love for Kashmir then he should resolve the Kashmir issue once for all.”Pertinently, Valley is witnessing civil unrest from past more than three months that triggered following the killing of Hizb commander, Burhan Wani in a gunfight in Bumdoora village of Kokernag area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
