Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday condemned Punjab government for thrashing the protesting activists of the Punjab State Suvidha Centre Employees Union in front of Chief Minister Residence at Badal village. AAP election Campaign committee head and Sangrur MP, Bhagwant Mann said that police lobbed teargas shells and water cannons to disperse the protesters and then registered cases under art 307 of IPC against them. Police didn’t even spare pregnant women and handicapped protesters.Mann said that in democracy every citizen has the right to protest peacefully but Sukhbir Badal under his ‘Aurangjebi Raj’ has even snatched that as well. The police first beat them up and then register false cases against them to mute their voice.Mann said that law and order situation has failed in the state and father-son duo has failed to run the state. Mann also expressed his grief over the rape of Dalit teenager in village Chak Talwandi Bhai of Kothbhai police station. Mann said that under the Badal rule Punjab has witnessed ‘Blackest phase’ in the history.Mann said that AAP will provide employment to 25 Lakhs youth after the government formation in Punjab as promised in the ‘Youth Manifesto’ released by the party. He also promised to scrap the false Police cases registered against agitators during Badal rule.
