I.G. Crime Appears Before Sc Commission In Mansa Murder Case

The I.G. (Crime) Punjab Police appeared before the Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission in connection with the murder of a youth belonging to SC category hailing from village gharangna in Mansa.Disclosing this, the Chairman of the commission Mr. Rajesh Bagha said that ADGP Crime, Punjab and SSP Mansa have been directed to submit overall report regarding the matter on 19thOctober.  He further said that today IG Crime, Punjab Police Mr. Varinder Kumar and Joint Director Welfare Department Mrs. Anjana Sandhu appeared before the commission and shared the latest details of mansa murder case. He also said that as per the information of Mr. Varinder Kumar, 4 accused have been arrested and case under sections 302, 148, 149 and SC/ST Act while teams have been constitutred for arresting rest of the accused. 

He also revealed that Joint Director Welfare Department Mrs. Anjana Sandhu has sent the cheque of Rs. 5,62,000 meant for the financial help of the family of deceased to the district administration.Bagha further informed that the police department has been asked to form the special teams for controlling the liquor mafia. He also stressed that the district administration should ensure that the entire financial help reaches the bereaved family at the earliest and also consider increasing the aid.The Chairman also said that the commission is committed to resolve the issues confronting SC community in accordance with the law. He batted for taking the mansa murder case to its logical conclusion as soon as possible so as to ensure exemplary punishment to the accused and prevention of such incidents in the future.
