The incarcerated chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Friday said India by terming its aggression on Pakistan as surgical strikes wants to divert the international community’s attention from Kashmir and create an impression on them that it is targeting the “terrorist camps” in the neighbouring country. In a statement issued to KNS, Shah said if anyone wants to see Indian terrorism, he/she should visit Kashmir and witness the atrocities of Indian occupational forces on the unarmed people. “Those visiting Kashmir would see only graveyards and the terrorism of Indian occupational forces,” he said.Shah said during last few weeks, India perpetrated worst kind of human rights in Jammu Kashmir wherein it killed about 100 innocent and blinded more than 300 which garnered world community’s attention. “And India in order to save itself from accountability desperately wanted to divert the world community’s attention from Kashmir and as such fabricated the story of so-called surgical strikes in a bollywood way,” he said.

Terming the aggression as attack on Pakistan’s sovereignty and integrity, Shah said the Muslim World, United Nations, European Parliament, and OIC should take serious notice of it and hold India accountable for its misdeeds in the region.“India should behave itself and not provoke Pakistan for war which would result in nuclear confrontation. No one wins in war. India wants to keep Pakistan entangled in such provocations in order to divert its issue from extending political, diplomatic, and moral support to Kashmiris’ freedom struggle. It also wants to divert world community’s attention from Kashmir to false propaganda against Pakistan,” Shah said.Holding world leadership responsible for political instability in the subcontinent, Shabir Ahmad Shah said to resolve Kashmir is the responsibility of world community. “In order to ensure the establishment of peace in the world, the issues like Palestine and Kashmir need to be resolved,” he said.
