The District Development Commissioner Anantnag Dr. Syed Abid Rashid Shah today visited Mattan area of the district and took stock of the functioning of Government offices. He also inspected various developmental projects being executed under core sectors in the area. During the visit, the District Development Commissioner paid surprise visit at various government offices including PHC Mattan, Poultry Development Project Office, BDO Office, Tehsil Office, Forest Range Office, Sub Division Irrigation, Sub Division Agriculture, Tehsil Supply Office, besides ZEO Office Mattan and took stock of the functioning of the offices.Checking the attendance registers in the offices, the DDC cautioned that strict action will be taken as per law against the absentees. He directed the in-charge officers to make their offices fully functional so that deliverance of services to the general public is ensured.The District Development Commissioner also took stock of the essential supplies in the area and instructed the officers to ensure supply of essential commodities to the general public at the notified time and price.Taking stock of pace of work on various ongoing developmental projects, the DDC instructed the executing agencies and departments to ensure timely completion of these projects without compromising on quality of building material.
